Dear HB Warrior Families,

I'm very excited to invite our parents and guardians to join our staff for our annual Back to School Night event at HB from 6-8pm on Monday, September 29.  

Here is some helpful information for our new and our returning families.  

- This is not an event where your student joins you, this is for parents and guardians. Frankly we don't have the space to fit every student and parent in our halls and in our classrooms (which is a great problem to have by the way). 

- We will begin promptly at 6pm in period 1, 6:30p is period 2, 7p is period 3, and 7:30p is period 4.   

- Parents and Guardians will follow a modified version of your student's schedule and meet there Math and English teachers for 27 minutes each and their Science, Social Studies, and Exploratory teachers for 12 minutes each.  Science and Social Studies share a period because they meet every other day.   Exploratory classes meet daily for half of a block or period. 

- Parents will report to their student's 1A or 1 period class, where they will get their students schedule and follow it for the evening with only 3 minutes to find your next classroom.  

- Teachers will share their curricular plans, classroom expectations, and best means for communication with them.   

 - For the sake of time and privacy, we ask parents to write down any student-specific questions and email them to the appropriate teacher or staff either during or after our event.  

- Our goal to to build a strong connection with each of you and to offer you a glimpse into your student's experience at HB duPont Middle.
